So, Jm was super kind and turned my resume in, after lots of interviewing I've been offered a job at VMware.
I'll be doing Linux Sysadmin work for the infrastructure that supports the Educational Services at VMware. Basically around 1000 servers used to teach students VMware.
Start May 5, can't wait! |

So... I wired the money for my new speakers yesterday. The tops should be arriving within the next week, the subs aren't made yet, but should arrive sometime beginning to mid April.
(2) Yorkville U15PB (900 watt rms active tops)
(2) Yorkville UCS1PB (1500 watt rms active subs)
I also registered www.loudsounddesign.net. Haven't put anything on it yet though. :)

Was fun.
Got tickets for Graham, Penny, Zack, and Erica. Was really glad they came. We all camped together with Nate and Shawn. It was good times all around. The stress of doing food purchasing continued even into the beginning of the party, but I removed myself from all food business after that.
The food ended up being good, the party was fantastic, the music was great.
Forest played an amazing set, can't wait to get a copy of it. There were 4 people on the dance floor when she went on and the dance floor was packed and full of kicked up dust when she was done playing. People were running to the dance floor.
Andy's set was totally dope, too. I was in the hot tub and heard what sounded like him, hopped out and ran over. I was sooo tired, but he kept dropping phat tracks. I wasn't able to leave. He's fucking hilarious when he DJs. He acts like something is totally fucked up right before he drops the fucking bomb, then acts surprised. He also wanders and looks around like like nothing is really happening right before he drops the bomb. It was really fun to watch. So glad he got to play and had fun. :)
Everyone was jealous of our double sized queen inflatable mattress, it sits about 2 feet off the ground so your butt *never* hits. |

I'm so frustrated.
I have no clue what I should be doing in life right now. There's so much I'd like to do, and so little I'm actually doing.
I haven't sailed in months, not since Stacey and I went out. I've been playing with music and have made a couple songs. I'd sort of like to get a decent studio setup with a real mixing board, monitors, etc.
I have books that I want to read, and I do read them, and feel like I get nothing done. I want to rearrange my room but I don't do it.
I stress out about money even though I'm not poor. I stress out about upcoming unknown sums of money. I bought a 2006 Mazda 3 Hatchback and the person's bank will finally be clearing the check tomorrow. I've been sitting on roughly $1,500 of taxes that I owe, without the ability to pay them since the title hasn't been released yet.
I bought 2 burningman tickets. I have no clue what burningman will end up costing me. I'm planning on going to Hawaii a month after burningman, no clue what that will cost me. I hate having these huge unknown costs lingering over my head.
I'm doing food purchasing for FNF campout and a number of people are slacking and not giving me quantities or ingredients. It's irritating.
I've been going to the gym fairly regularly in an attempt to improve my mood and attitude. I suppose it works. It makes my arms denser and makes me look better, anyway.
I feel like there's a huge amount of things that I should be doing, and no motivation to really do them, or that when I do them I get nothing done.

Well, I haven't posted on here in a while.
I'm doing well, Forest is doing well. I love her dearly. :)
I purchased new tires from Big O a few months back, between 3 and 6 months. Within the last month 3 of the 4 tires I purchased have blown. I called and they are looking into it and calling the MFG. I'll be really irritated if I have to pay for yet another tire. The ones I had prior to this were good for the 20,000 miles that I owned the car up until they started balding and I replaced them with these new... garbage tires.
I play a little bit of eve-online.
I've been playing with Ableton Live a little bit, learning about music structure more. I've recently been learning more about how synths work, which makes the whole music creation process more cool. I'm not super big on how to make a good bassline yet, and the more I listen to stuff I've made the more I dislike it. :) I'm learning more and more though, which is cool. After learning more I feel like stuff I've made in the past is very trivial...

I was mentioning wishing I had an external drive at home to store things on, and my coworker says "Oh, we have a 200 gig firewire not being used in the closet! just take it home! Word! It has 3 hot swappable 200 gig external drives! 600 gigs here I come! Going to Fry's to get a firewire card now. |
